Ring Plane

On the Ring Plane tab of the Ring Design form, set display options for the silhouette planes in your design.

Show Silhouette Planes

Enable the Show Silhouette Planes option if you want to display a drive wireframe slice preview when creating a new ring. As a point is moved for selection, a selection silhouette will be displayed and an indicator will appear when a valid position is available - making placement easier:

Default Colour

Double click the colour box to select a default colour for the silhouette.

Colour Field

Select the field in the Input data that represents the colour for the silhouette.

Colour Set

To map values in the Colour field to the colour values in a Colour set, double click (F3) to select the set that will be used to control the display colour. Right-click (F4) to create or edit a Colour set.

Line Type

Select a Line Type from the drop down. A preview of each line type is shown in the drop-down list. A variety of solid, dotted, and dashed line styles are available for selection.

Line Width

Set the Line width for the row from the drop down list provided.

Line Colour

Select From Ring Plane to define the line colour for the display from the ring plane, or select User to specify a line colour using the colour box.

Transparency

Use the Transparency slider to specify the visibility level of the wireframe layer. The Max transparency setting will render the wireframe completely transparent, while the Min setting is completely opaque / solid.

Template

The Template button is only available for Template Forms. Template Forms inherit saved or previously used values.

Click the Template button to select and open a saved form set template.

Load Template

Click the Load Template button to select and open a saved template to populate the fields of the form.

Save Template

Click the Save Template button to save the details of the current form as a template that can be loaded at a later time.

Manage

Click the Manage button to open the Template Forms manager which can be used to open, save, delete, import and export the template forms for your project.

Undo and Redo

Click Undo (CTRL + Z) to undo recent changes in the form. After an Undo, click Redo (CTRL + Y) to restore the last change that was undone.

Collapse

Collapse (roll-up) the form to preview a chart, or preview the results of an operation in Vizex, or obtain input values from Vizex, the Property Window, the File Editor, or the Plot Editor.
