Collars
On the Collars tab of the Drillhole Fan Setup form, specify the drillhole collars that will be used to generate. There are two input methods:

Define Collar Points

Collars From File
Note that you can use either method or use both.
Define Collar Points
Select this check box to manually enter the East, North, RL coordinates of each collar or click on the Pick Point From Vizex button to interactively pick one or more collar locations by snapping to the target surfaces or solids you have loaded in Vizex.
Use the buttons on the local toolbar to Manage the rows in the list.
Pick Point From Vizex
Click this button to collapse the form and interactively pick a point in Vizex (or press ESC to return to the form without picking a point).
When you pick a point, you will be returned to the Collars tab of the form. The digitised point is appended to the grid list of collar points:
Collars from File
Select this check box to generate fans from the collar location in a data file. Optionally, apply a filter to use a subset of the data in the file.
File
Double-click, or click on the Select icon, to select the name of a Data file that contains the coordinates of one or more collar locations.
East field
Select the field in the file that contains the easting coordinate of each collar point.
North field
Select the field in the file that contains the northing coordinate of each collar point.
Z field
Select the field in the file that contains the Z (elevation) of each collar point.
OK
On the remaining tabs of the form, review your target grid pattern settings and the parameters that will be used to generate the holes on each fan:
Click OK to create fans based on the collars, target grid pattern settings and parameters you have specified.
Trace String Layer
Save the Trace String file generated as a result of the process. Trace String file layer can subsequently be re-loaded as an input to further planning. See: From Trace String File
