Plot Files
In version 12 and later versions, a Plot Editor Document (.PEX) file defines the Layout of a plot. A plot layout can be saved as a Plot Editor Template (.PTX) file.
Standard templates are available for selection in the \Environment folder of the User Profile Folder.
You can select a .PEL plot file (created in an earlier version of the application) using Plot | Open. In order to open the file in the latest version of the Plot Editor, the .PEL file is converted to .PEX file format.
In version 12, a (.PEL) plot file is still used to define the Data in a 2D Plot.
In version 12 and previous versions, a Plot Data Set (.PED) file defines the lines of text that will be written in a Text frame.
For example, the text files TITLE.PED, CLIENT.PED and NOTES.PED might contain text that define a plot title, the name and address of a client, and notes about the mine area shown in a plot.
