Create Sphere

On the Wireframe tab, in the Editing group: Select More | Create Sphere to generate a sphere or hemisphere by defining a radius. A hemisphere can be created as a closed solid or as a hollow surface. An option to create an open or closed hemisphere is provided in the Sphere Properties form.

The new object is added to an existing or a new triangulation layer. If a triangulation layer is not currently the active layer, the Selection Assistant will prompt you to select one.

Centre

East, North, Z

If necessary, adjust the East, North, Z coordinates of the centre of the circle. These coordinates will be used to set the position of the sphere.

Radius

You can adjust the size of the sphere by altering the radius of the circle.

Axis Direction

View Direction

Select this option to set the axis of the sphere in the direction of the plane of the current view.

User Defined

Select this option to set the axis of the sphere in a direction which is defined by an Azimuth and an Inclination.

Hemisphere

If you want to create a hemisphere rather than a sphere, select this option.

Axis Length

Set the length of the axis of the hemisphere. If the Axis length is equal to the radius, then a true hemisphere (half of a sphere) will be created.

Close hemisphere

Select this option to create a hemisphere which is a closed solid rather than a hollow surface.

Forms

Click the Forms button to select and open a saved form set, or if a form set has been loaded, save the current form set.

OK

Click OK to create a sphere using the parameters you have specified. If a Wireframe layer is not the current layer, you will be prompted to select or create a new Wireframe layer.
