Generate Strings

On the Wireframe tab, in the Generate Strings group:

• Select Interactive Boolean | Boolean Intersection Strings to perform a Boolean operation on two or more intersecting wireframes and generate intersection strings.

  

• Select Boolean Intersection | Boolean Interaction (form) to create a String file that follows the line of intersection between two wireframes.

• Click Planar Intersection to generate strings from wireframes sliced using an orthogonal or transform orientation, or from the section planes defined in a section control file.

  

• Click Silhouette to interactively create a silhouette edge polygon for one or more wireframes selected in the display. The generated strings or outlines are flattened onto the current projection plane.

  

• Select Silhouette (form) to create a silhouette (string outline) of a wireframe and flatten that string onto an orthogonal or transform projection plane.

  

• Click Edges to generate crease strings from a nominated wireframe or wireframe set.
