Selection Actions

On the Selection Actions menu on the Vizex tab, in the Selection group:

Cycle Selection

Select Cycle Selection (CTRL + SPACE), or select the same option on the Vizex right-click menu, to cycle the current selection to the next item, in Z order, under the cursor at the time of the initial selection.

Highlight Layer

Select Highlight Layer to highlight the layer that is current in the Vizex window.

Edit Form

Select Edit Form to open the underlying form set of the current layer for editing.

Restrict to Active Layer

Select this option to restrict the current selection to the active layer.

Restrict to Right Click Layer

Select this option to restrict the current selection to the current (right-click) layer.

Save & Save As

When points, strings, drillholes, wireframes or wireframe triangles are selected, you can save them to a file using the appropriate option on the Vizex tab, in the Selection group (or the right-click menu).

Select:

• Selection Actions | Save Strings As (or select the same option from the right-click menu) to save the strings currently selected in Vizex to a new file. You will be prompted to enter the name and type of the target file.

  

• Selection Actions | Save Points As (or select the same option from the right-click menu) to save the points currently selected in a Point or CAD/GIS layer to a new file. You will be prompted to enter the name and type of the target file.

  

• Selection Actions | Save As Single Wireframe (or select the same option from the right-click menu) to save the wireframes you have selected in Vizex as a single wireframe.

  

• Selection Actions | Save As Wireframe Set (or select the same option from the right-click menu) to save the wireframes you have selected in Vizex as a wireframe set. (Wireframe module only)

  

Copy to Active Layer

If Points, Strings, or Wireframes, are selected in the right-click layer, and the active layer is a Point, String, or Wireframe layer, you can copy them to the active layer using the appropriate option on the Vizex tab, in the Selection group (or the right-click menu).

Select:

• Selection Actions | Copy Points to Active Layer (or right-click on the points in Vizex and select Selection | Copy Points to Active layer) to copy the selected points to the active layer.

  

• Selection Actions | Copy Strings to Active Layer (or right-click on the strings in Vizex and select Selection | Copy Strings to Active layer) to copy selected strings to the active layer. Partial string selection is supported.

  

• Selection Actions | Copy Wireframes to Active Layer (or right-click on the wireframes in Vizex and select Selection | Copy Wireframes to Active layer) to copy the selected strings to the active layer.
