Oriented Core

The a angle is the acute angle between core axis and long axis of ellipse.

The b angle in oriented core is measured clockwise from the reference line to the bottom of the ellipse representing the intersection of a planar feature with the core.

The gangle is measured from the long axis of the ellipse (i.e. from the point that defines the Beta angle) clockwise to the lineation.
