Processing

On the Processing tab of the Estimate Grade Tonnage form, select the element fields to be included in the estimation. You can also specify how the grades will be written to the wireframes.

Grade Fields

There are two ways of passing a grade to the Wireframe | Report | Grade Tonnage functions, for use in grade calculations:

  1. Using the Grade field in the input file
  2. Using the Grade attribute in the wireframe (described below)

Use Grade from Wireframe

Select this option to obtain a value from the grade attribute in the wireframes rather than from the fields in the input file. In this case, you must enter the name of the attribute in the Wireframe Attribute cell:

Grade Field

Double-click (or click on the Select icon) to select a field in the input file that will be used in the grade calculation.

You can select a field more than once provided that the Result Units for reporting are different.

Use the buttons on the local toolbar to Manage the rows in the list.

Default Grade

If a grade value is missing from a record, the function will use the Default grade. If you have not entered a Default grade, the function will substitute a value of 0.0.

Cut Value

Enter a Cut value. If the value in the Cut field is higher than the Cut value, the process uses the Cut value instead.

Write Final Weighted Grade to Wireframe

Select this check box if you wish to write the weighted grades to the wireframes.

Wireframe Grade Attribute

When the Use Grade From Wireframe option is selected, specify a new wireframe attribute, or select an existing attribute, to which the Weighted Final Grade will be written.

Overwrite Grade in Wireframe

When the Write Final Weighted Grade To Wireframe option is selected, select this option to overwrite any value already stored in the specified Wireframe Attribute. Existing grade values will not be overwritten unless this option is selected.

Grade Unit

When you select a Grade Unit a conversion to a Mineral unit can be performed. Mineral value is equal to the Grade field multiplied by volume (m3) or tonnage (t).

Wireframe Mineral Attribute

When the Write Final Weighted Grade To Wireframe option is selected, select this option to overwrite any value already stored in the specified Wireframe Mineral Attribute. Existing grade values will not be overwritten unless this option is selected.

Wireframe Mineral Unit

Select the Mineral unit (Tonnes, Ounces, Grams, Carats, Pounds, Pennyweights, Kilograms) that will be used to report the result calculated from the Grade unit.
