Adjust to Wireframe
Before using the tool, ensure the Display trace option is selected as part of your options.
To change the inclination and azimuth of a blasthole, click on the blasthole to see its Azimuth, Inclination and Depth properties in the Properties window.
The process will run automatically provided that the blastholes and the wireframe are selected in Vizex. If you have not already selected them, you will prompted to do so by the Selection Assistant.
- Select the blastholes to adjust and click on the Accept Selection button (or right-click).
Alternatively, you can Digitise the required object/s using the button in the Selection Assistant toolbar. The Selection Assistant will close, providing access to the tools used to create the object.
- Select the wireframe to adjust to and then click the Accept Selection button (or right-click).
- The selected blastholes will be extended or clipped to the reference wireframe:
Note that you cannot load a wireframe or edit other objects while the display is in Adjust mode.
Note: if certain holes cannot be adjusted to the selected wireframe, for example the holes are located below the wireframe, then those holes will be deleted when the process is run.
The same behaviour is expected if the Clip tool is used and holes below the wireframe are present.
Tip: To restrict the process to either a clip operation or an extend operation, but not both, on the Mining | Blast Design tab, in the Modify group:
- Click Clip to clip blasthole lengths to a reference wireframe.
-
Click Extend to extend blasthole lengths to a reference wireframe.
