Ranges

Ranges group Leaves of data into groups. There are two types of Range (Text and Picked). Text and Picked Ranges are stored and can be used anywhere a range is used in the application, including Table View, Source and Destination Paths, Animation, Haulage Logic and Constraints.

[Inline] Ranges are similar to Text Ranges, except they are specific to the context in which they are used (for example, the Source and Destination Ranges in an Animation). Inline Ranges can be saved (see Text Range from Inline Range) but otherwise are not stored. Some Inline Ranges are persisted to the project database, however, for example the Source and Destination prefilter ranges specified in General case settings.

Ranges From Field Values provides the ability to create a range for each unique combination of one or more selected field values, for example, calculated fields containing Seam and Bench identifiers. A filter expression that filters the results based on an existing range may also be applied.
