New Tie Line

  1. On the Wireframe tab or the Vizex | Wireframing tab, in the Build Wireframe group: Click New Tie Line to create a new tie line.

  2. Tie lines are created and saved to a String file which is loaded as a separate display layer.

You can Select Active Tie Lines at any time using the drop-down menu alongside the New Tie lines button:

The active tie lines layer (if any) is shown in the drop-down selection box:

  1. If not already selected, you will be prompted to select a Strings layer as the active tie-line layer.
  2. When you select the Tie-line button, Snapping to Point is turned on and the tie lines you create are highlighted in a tie-line colour.

  1. As you move the mouse the insert point cursor will snap to the nearest point. Click the mouse to position the start point.
  2. Move the mouse to snap to the position of the end point.

Once a tie-line has been added to the display, it can be manipulated just like any other string object.
