Underground Tools

Underground mine design is supported by the following functions on the Survey tab, in the Underground Tools group:

  • Click Centreline to Solid to convert one or more strings into a wireframe - for example, to generate a single wireframe, or generate multiple wireframes, from the polygons that define underground features such as drives.

  • You can also use the Centreline to Solid (form) function to create and save wireframes extruded from one or more strings in an Input file. You also have the option to generate wireframes per polygon or per segment.

  • Click Sidewall to Solid (Interactive) to interactively generate a solid from one or more polygonal (sidewall) shapes, and optionally auto-load the result in Vizex.

  • You can also use the Sidewall to Solid (form) function to generate a solid from one or more polygonal (sidewall) shapes in an input file.

  • Click Tunnel to Centreline to generate centrelines from tunnel sidewall strings, or from closed tunnel wireframes.

  • Click Sidewall Centreline Offsets, to calculate left and right offsets from an input centreline and sidewall strings, with the option to calculate height (roof to floor distance) values and populate a height field.

  • Click Floor Wireframe (Interactive) to generate a declined or multi-level surface wireframe from the strings or points selected in Vizex.

  • You can also use the Floor Wireframe function to generate a declined or multi-level surface wireframe from the strings or points in a file.
