Offset Lines
If you have not already selected the strings you want to generate offset lines for, you will prompted to do so.
The Offset Lines form is then displayed which allows you to specify the distance and the direction in which the lines will be offset. Use the buttons on the local toolbar to Manage the rows in the list.
Offsets
Line
You can add a row to the grid for each line you want to offset. To add a row, use the mouse to select the last row in the grid and then press the Enter key to insert a new row below it.
Offset Distance
Specify the distance each line will be offset from the selected strings (in grid units). A positive value will offset to the right. A negative value will offset to the left.
Z Difference
To offset each line vertically, specify a Z difference. A positive value will offset higher than the selected strings. A negative value will offset lower than the selected strings.
Forms
Click the Forms button to select and open a saved form set, or if a form set has been loaded, save the current form set.
Manage
To save the types, attributes and names you have defined and re-use them in other functions, select Manage button to create a form set or load an existing form set.
Save
Click Save to save your changes as the default form set.
Save As
Click Save As to save your changes as a new form set.
Reset
Click Reset to clear the form of all values and reset the form to its default state.
OK
When you click OK, the offset lines are generated at the distances and directions specified.
