Data File

The columns in the Data File list the coordinates of each point, the value in the Analysis field for each point, and the results of the cross validation as shown below:

ESTIMATE

The estimated value for the point calculated using points in the vicinity (or the search ellipse) defined by the Range.

RESIDUAL 

The difference between the Analysis field and the Estimate.

ERROR

The Kriging standard deviation.

ERROR_STAT 

The RESIDUAL divided by the ERROR.

The output files can be used with other displays to analyze the model:

• A simple linear regression of actual versus estimated values, illustrates how well the Kriging process reproduces the sample data.
• A regression of estimated value versus the error statistic, shows that the error incurred is independent of the estimator.
• Actual value plotted versus the error statistic, illustrates the conditional bias.
• A histogram of error statistic can verify the use of Normal confidence limits.
