As-Drilled Holes

Support for As-drilled drillholes allows planners to display, examine and run ring design or development drilling functions on holes drilled in the field.

Whenever drillhole data is imported into a Ring Design or Heading Design Database, the hole type property is set to As-drilled:

These as-drilled holes can then be displayed to conduct quality assurance reconciliation against planned holes (drillholes prepared during the planning phase but not yet drilled) and be used in other functions, for example, to calculate charging and stemming or generate ring plots.

If you have imported and added as-drilled holes to a Ring Design or Heading Design Database, you can display them by enabling a Display as-drilled holes check box in the form:

Most form-based Ring Design functions, 3D visualisation and CAD tools, are able to work with either planned holes or as-drilled holes:

Note that you cannot adjust the position of an as-drilled hole (using Edit Drillhole or Adjust Multiple Drillholes) or adjust the length of an as-drilled hole.

From v20.5 onwards, if a Ring Design consists of both planned and as-drilled drillholes, only the as-drilled holes are included in a Ring Plot.
