Output
On the Output tab of the Quick Contours form, select an Output file type. You can create a Grid file or a Contour file. In the case of a Contour file, you can also set the range and spacing of the contour lines.
Grid
Enter or double-click (F3) to select the name of a grid file (*.GRD) is a special type of binary file which cannot be edited or viewed like other files in the program. A grid file is used to display contour grids.
Auto Load
Select the Auto Load check box if the grid is to be automatically loaded in Vizex.
Colour Coding
If you have selected to Auto Load, use the Colour Set and Default Colour options to configure the display colour. The colour set maps colours to text strings or numeric ranges. Right click (F4) to create or edit a colour set. The Default colour will be used when a colour set is not defined.
Contour
Select a file Type from the drop down and enter or double-click (F3) to select the name of a contour file in the File field. Contour lines are saved as strings in an output file. Three types of file (data, survey or string) with identical contents can be output. The different (*.STR, *.SVY, *.DAT) file extensions are only used to make the files more accessible to other functions.
Spacing
Enter a Contour Interval as a value in Z units, which defines the spacing between contour lines.
Enter Minimum and Maximum contour values to restrict the range of contours.
Auto Load
Select the Auto Load check box and use the Colour Coding options to configure the display colour.
