Tools

The following tools are available on the Grid / DTM tab, in the Grid Tools group:

  • Click Assign to determine whether the points in a data file are above, below, or outside an existing grid surface.

  • Click Raster Calculator to perform mathematical calculations on the raster cells in one or more grid surface files. Use this function to convert and manipulate your existing grid raster data and output the results in Micromine Grid File format, or a supported third-party Grid File format.

  • Click Clip to clip a Grid Surface (defined in an input Micromine Grid Surface file) based on the strings in a String file, or the outlines in an Outline file, and write the result to a new Micromine Grid Surface file.

  • Click Generate Z Values to calculate the Z values for any points within the area of an existing contoured grid. This is a way of determining elevations for known collar locations.

  • Click Trend Surfaces to take a Grid Surface file or a Data file as input and generate a Trend Surface based on the data, using a Linear, Quadratic or Cubic equation The Output file will be of the same type as the input file and may contain either the trend surface data or the residual.
