Drillhole Angles

The following options are contained on the Drillhole Angles tab of the Ring Design Setup form and the Drill Rig Options form to specify how the hole angles are referenced.

The default reference angle for the holes starts from a 90° (right) direction and is measured anti-clockwise (as shown in the example). You can change the default behaviour so that :

  • the reference angle starts from direction 0° (up) 180° (left) or 270° (down)
  • holes are measured in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction.
  • negative angles are included.
  • the hole angle decimal precision is adjusted.

When it comes to angle values, the application uses values comprising a certain number of decimal places. This setting may need to be used when the drilling machine does not use decimal places (only integer) for angle measurement values. The option will allow you to control the precision of values, thereby preventing differences between the hole angles planned in the application and the angles employed by the drill rig.
