Export

You can export a drillhole log to a variety of image and CAD/GIS formats.

To export a log to a file

  1. Open or create a drillhole log. See: Drillhole Log
  2. On the Drillhole | Drillhole Log tab, in the Drillhole Log group: Click Export to export the current hole to CAD format.

  3. In the Export Drillhole Log form, enter the name of the output file:
  1. Select an output file Type from the drop-down list provided:
  1. If you have chosen an Image file type, specify the Resolution of the image.
  2. Since AutoCAD often displays white lines and labels on a black background, the option to invert blacks to white when exporting colours is provided. Selecting this option may ensure that exported text and line features are visible in AutoCAD.
  3. If you have chosen a CAD file type, specify whether Grid or Paper Coordinates will be output to the file. When you output to Grid coordinates, the coordinates of the log frame are used.
  4. Remember that for DXF files, the various parts of the log will be output to different layers. That is, all column and frame information will occupy a layer, all line work will occupy another layer, and the labels another layer still. The Header and Footer frames are also treated as separate layers.
