Point Collapse

The Point Collapse Collapse simplification algorithm reduces the number of faces on a Solid and can be controlled (primarily) through an angle tolerance. Results should provide a good approximation of the shape of the original Solid.

Advanced options allow you to validate and fine-tune the process:

Use the drop-down to set advanced point collapse options:

• Short Edge Removal (Boolean - defaults to True)

• Check Closure (Boolean - defaults to True)

• Check Intersections (Boolean - defaults to True)

• Check Intersections (Boolean - defaults to True)

• Maximum Volume Shift (Percentage. Must be greater than or equal to 0% and less than or equal to 100%)

• Iterate Count Limit (Must be greater than or equal to 1)

• Iterate Factor (Must be greater than 0 and less than 1)
