Structure
Create Disc
If you do not have a Structural Data layer open, one will be created when you select the Structure | Create Disc option. Alternatively, you can create a new layer first, using the Structure | New option; or open an existing layer with the Structure | Open option.
You can configure the settings for a new layer by double clicking the layer in the Vizex Layer Display panel. Note: If no layers are open, you will need to create one before using the tool.
The cursor will change to a cross with a square in the centre. If you click in a position, a new disc will be created and displayed with the position you clicked as the centre. New discs are created using the scale and disc radius configured in the Structural Data form.
You can make changes to the location, dip direction and dip angle for the new disc using the methods outlined in Interacting with Structural Data.
A new disc will be created with every click, as long as the Add Discs tool is active. To deactivate the tool, click the icon again to toggle it off.
More information on working with structural data is contained in Structural Data.
