Lineation

On the Design tab, in the Create group: Select Structural Data | Create Lineation to add a lineation to an active structural data layer.

Add Lineation

If you do not have a Structural Data layer open, one will be created when you select the Structure | Add Lineation option. You can configure the settings for the new layer by double clicking the layer in the Vizex Layer Display panel. Note: If no layers are open, you will need to create one before using the tool.

The cursor will change to a cross with a square in the centre. If you click a position, a new lineation will be created and displayed with the position you clicked as the centre. New lineations are created using the lineation length and radius configured in the Structural Data form.

You can make changes to the location, dip direction and dip angle for the new lineation using the methods outlined in Interacting with Structural Data.

A lineation added to structural data display

A new lineation will be created with every click, as long as the Add Lineations tool is active. To deactivate the tool, right-click in Vizex or click the icon again to toggle it off.

More information on working with structural data is contained in Structural Data.
