Input

On the Mining tab, in the Task Preparation group: Click Bench Solids to create bench solids from a block model that satisfies a minimum mining width.

To create bench pushbacks from optimisation results, this option is also available on the Mining tab, in the Resource Optimisation group: Select Pit Optimiser | Create Bench Pushbacks.

On the Input tab of the Bench Solids form, specify the block model file that will be used as input to the process.

Inputs to the process will typically be a block model that was wireframe assigned using the Incremental Solids tool. The process will generate a solid wireframe for each bench of the block model, separated by the specified extraction number.

If you select the Filter check box, you can select an existing filter or create one using the Expression Editor by clicking the icon.

Options

Minimum Mining Width

This constraint is used to define a collection of blocks of the same classification that form a shape. Each bench must be able to accommodate the "shape" somewhere.

Circular

Select this check box to define the shape that each bench must support as Circular. The shape is a Square if this option is not selected.

If the extraction or the bench cannot support the shape, the process will combine extractions into a larger bench that can support the shape.

Extraction number field

Specify the name of the field that contains extraction numbers. Extraction numbers are unique number assigned to an identifiable “extraction” of which a block forms part.
