Import Blast Polygons

THIS TOPIC IS MAPPED TO THE SUB FORM OF THE IMPORT DATA FORM

Imported block polygons allow the blasthole pattern of a block to have an irregular boundary. Typically, the rectangular boundary will extend past the final boundary.

File

The Import Blast Polygons form is used to select the file to be imported, along with the parameters for the polygons.

File

Double click (F3) or use the folder button in the File field to select the blast polygons file to be imported. Optionally, you can set a Filter to restrict the data that is imported from the file.

East, North, Z

Use the fields provided to specify the names of the Easting, Northing and Z coordinate fields in the blast polygons file.

Join

In forms that require polylines as an input, the values in this field define whether the data points in the input file should be joined by a line. If successive records have the same value in this field, a line will join the points.

Block Name

Double-click (or click on the list icon) to select a field in the input file that contains block name values. A block is a group of holes you want to blast in sequence as part of a blast pattern. The selection of a block allows you to manage and, if necessary, vary the design process for each block.

WHY DON'T WE HAVE BLOCK TYPE AND BLOCK STATUS OPTIONS LIKE WE DO WHEN THE TOOL ON THE RIBBON IS USED?

OK

Finally, click OK to import the selected file.

Note: Blocks with duplicate names will not be imported.
