Add Ribbon

On the Structural Ribbon tab, in the Create group: Click Add Ribbon to add a polyline ribbon to active Structural Data.

You can also select the Structural Data | Create Ribbon option on the Design tab, in the Create group.

The cursor will change to a cross with a square in the centre. If you click a position, a new disc will be created and displayed at the position you clicked. A lineation is created as you move the cursor to another position and ends with a disc when you click.

Display of the new polyline/s are configured with the Mode, Ribbon Width and Colours settings in the Display Tab tab of the Structural Ribbons form.

You can make changes to the location, dip direction and dip angle for the new lineation using the methods outlined in Interacting with Structural Data.

A new disc and a polyline will be created with every click, as long as the Add Ribbon tool is active. To deactivate the tool, right-click in Vizex or click the icon again to toggle it off.

You can delete structural points, make changes to orientation and flip the polarity of discs using the Modify tools on the Structural Ribbons tab.
