Wireframing
Wireframes can be created from polygons, strings, contours, and sections. Generally, you will create these objects in other functions, such as Convert to Strings on the Vizex | Sections tab, in the Section Control File group.
Edit Strings
Once you load your polygons and strings into Vizex, you may need to edit them further, for example, close-off orebodies by extending the shape of a polygon mid-way between drillhole sections.
A wide range of string editing tools are available on the Design tab, in the Editing group, and the right-click menu. Before you can create or edit a string, you must first select a string layer as the Active Layer.
Create wireframes
While you can use the tools on the Vizex > Wireframes tab, in the Build Wireframe group, to auto-build wireframes from strings, there will be instances when the triangulation will not form correctly. In these instances you will need to draw tie lines to assist the triangulation algorithm. See: New Tie Line
Occasionally, you will need to remove triangles and regenerate or open the end of a closed surface. See: Triangle Editing
As you make adjustments use the Validate Wireframe tool to identify errors that may not be apparent during visual checking.
The overall process is:
- Load polygons or strings using the options on the Vizex tab, in the Layer group, or via the Vizex Layer Types pane. (You can also load other supporting data, for example point values, to help you form the wireframes correctly).
- Use the tools on the Design tab to edit your input strings as necessary.
- Select a [New] Triangulation as the Active Layer. Right-click on the Triangulation object in the Vizex Layer Display pane and set the properties of the wireframe.
-
Use the Editing on , to:
- Build wireframes
- Add tie lines
- Edit strings and tie lines
- Edit triangles
- Save your wireframes and tie lines.
