#2 Pit Optimisation -> Mining Blocks

Summary

  • Run pit optimisation

  • Cut selected pit shell into 3D grid of mining blocks

  • Calculate attributes from block model

  • Use grid indexes to determine task (mining block) dependencies

* Equivalent to #1: Direct Block Scheduling using pit shell instead of outer shell of block model

Steps

  1. Resource block model

  2. Run pit optimisation

    • Mining | Resource Optimisation | Pit Optimiser

    • Set Output > Reports > Report Data Sources > Report = Block Model

      • Set Report File = name of block model to be saved

    • Set Output > Staging Wireframes > Output = Stage Solid

      • Set Type = name of wireframe type for stage solids

      • Set Name = base name of stage solids for this pit

  1. Create schedule

  2. Create Schedule Definition as per #1: Direct Block Scheduling: Schedule Definition

    • Set Block Models > Definition > Input Data = block model output from pit optimisation

    • Set Task Sources > Pit Wireframes > Definition > Input > Single = Type and Name of stage solid selected from pit optimisation
