Assign Block Model

On the Grid / DTM tab, in the DTM Assign group: Click Assign Block Model to determine whether the blocks or the sub-blocks in a block model, are above, below, or either side of a DTM, based on the centroid or the block factor of the block.

For example, you might assign to determine which blocks have been mined by assigning the DTM of a pit to the block model file.

Note: Due to changes to the block model index builder in version 2020, calculated block factors may differ very slightly compared to those for the indices created in previous versions.

When running the application version 2020 Wireframe and DTM Assign functions on an older-version block model index, there may be minor changes in block factors as the plane shifts slightly. This is due to split processing changes in the 2020 release, in other words, how the triangulations are cut, and how the in-between points are interpolated.
