Output
On the Output tab of the Road Design form, choose from the following output options:
Final Surface
Select this check box to generate a DTM of the modelled road. This will be merged into the input topography.
Type and Name
Double-click (or click on the Select and List icons) to select the Type and Name of the wireframe that will be generated from the road parameters, the input centre line, and the topographic surface.
Auto load
Select this option to load the generated road surface in Vizex.
Cut and Fill Solids
Select this check box to generate Cut and Fill solids that may be useful for visualisation and reporting.
Type and Names
Double-click (or click on the Select icon) to select the Type of the wireframes that will be generated from the Cut and Fill volumes. Double-click (or click on the Select icon) to select a Name for the Cut and Fill solids.
Auto load
Select this option to load the generated solids in Vizex.
Left and Right Road Strings
Select this option to write the left and right road strings to an Output file.
Auto load
Select this option to load the generated strings in Vizex.
Report file
Optionally, specify the name of a Report file. If material parameters have been specified on the Design Parameters tab of the form, the report will contain the following:
- Cut Volume in Bank Cubic Metres (C_BCM) = volume of cut wireframe
- Cut Volume in Loose Cubic Metres (C_LCM) = C_BCM * (100 + Swell) / 100, where Swell is the percentage by which the volume of the unmined ("bank") material increases after it has been mined and has become "loose".
- Cut Volume in Compacted Cubic Metres (C_CCM) = C_LCM * (100 - Compaction) / 100, where Compaction is percentage by which the volume of the loose material decreases after it has been compacted to form the required road profile.
- Cut Mass (TONNES) = C_BCM * Density, where Density is expressed in tonnes per BCM.
- Fill Volume in Compacted Cubic Metres (F_CCM) = volume of fill wireframe
- Fill Volume in Loose Cubic Metres (F_LCM) = F_CCM * 100 / (100 - Compaction)
- Fill Volume in Bank Cubic Metres (F_BCM) = F_LCM * 100 / (100 + Swell)
- Fill Mass (TONNES) = F_BCM * Density
