Stockpile

Use the Stockpile tab to specify the (capacity, rehandling cost and material) parameters of each stockpile.

Specify the following settings for the stockpile:

Maximum size

(Optional.) Specify the maximum size (mass or volume) of the stockpile.

This is the maximum amount of unprocessed ore that will be accepted by the stockpile. When this value is reached, the mining rate is reduced to ensure that the amount of unprocessed ore mined remains within the capacities of the processing facilities.

Rehandling cost

(Optional.) Specify the cost (per mass or volume) of rehandling the unprocessed ore from the stockpile to transfer it to the processing facility.

Material Bins Accepted

Each stockpile can accept unprocessed ore from one or more material bins, which are not mixed within the stockpile.

Specify the following settings for the existing (i.e. on the stockpile at the start of the analysis) unprocessed ore in each material bin accepted by the stockpile:

Material Bin

Select the material bin accepted by the stockpile and to which the settings apply.

Quantity (of Existing Material)

Specify the mass of existing unprocessed ore in the material bin.

Quantity Units

Select the units in which the mass of existing unprocessed ore in the material bin is specified.

Density (of Existing Material)

Specify the density (t/m3) of the existing unprocessed ore in the material bin.

Element Grades

Select the form set that specifies the grades of the elements in the existing unprocessed ore in the material bin on the stockpile.

Click left on the icon to select an existing form set.

Click right on the icon and select New to create a new form set. When prompted, enter the name to be assigned to the new form set and press OK.

Click right on the icon and select Edit, or press F4, to edit the specified Stockpile Elements form set.
