Missing Intervals

On the Drillhole | Validate tab, in the Repair group: Click Repair Database to apply one or more repair options to a drillhole database file that contains validation errors.

In the Drillhole Database Repair form, enable the Missing Intervals option in the Repair Options grid:

The Missing Intervals error will be detected if the first FROM value in the Interval file does not = 0 and/or the sample intervals in the Interval file are not continuous. The repair process will modify the hole values according to the configured rules to fix the error.

To configure the repair process,

  1. Click the More button.

  1. Use the Repair Options to select a combination of the following:

    • Start of Hole to repair the error by inserting a blank interval record at a depth of zero .

    • Middle of Hole to determine whether to:

      • Average the To value of the previous record and the From value of the next record,

      • Decrease the From value of the next record, or

      • Increase the To value of the previous record

      ... for the middle of the hole to repair the error.

    • End of Hole to determine whether to

      • Increase the To value of the last interval record or

      • Decrease the total depth of the collar record

    • ... for the end of the hole to repair the error.

  1. Click OK to return to the Drillhole Database Repair form.

  2. Use the Output options to select whether to overwrite the input database to be repaired, or enter the name of a database to write the new data to.

  3. Select the Flag Field option to enter a Flag Field and Flag value for the repair data to be written.

  4. Use the Report File option and select a file to write the report to (or leave the Auto default) if required.

Forms

Click the Forms button to select and open a saved form set, or if a form set has been loaded, save the current form set.

Run

Finally, click Run to begin the process.
