Divide sample intervals in the Interval file

The Split lengths to option allows you to split long sample intervals into smaller intervals. Enter a value in metres. When an entry is made, unsampled intervals of the defined length and with a suitable From and To depth, will be inserted into the file.

This function allows you to split long sample intervals in the Interval file into smaller intervals. You will use it:

• Where there are long unsurveyed sample intervals in a drillhole which contains multiple downhole surveys. You split the unsampled intervals into a length similar to the interval between surveys. When you make an entry, unsampled intervals of the defined length and with a suitable From and To depth, will be inserted into the Interval file. This is only used for assigning.
• When you want to match the sample interval in different types of interval files, for example, lithology and assay.
• To increase resolution when assigning using outlines.
