Numbering the holes
-
Enter the First hole name in the text box. It can start with non-numeric characters which will be repeated when the numerics are increments (such as BH1, BH2 etc.).
-
If you select Number along the line, the holes will be numbered from the origin across the width of each line. Clearing the box will cause numbering to progress in the direction of the bearing (North, in the following example).
-
If you select Boustrophedon numbering, the numbering will snake through the pattern rather than return to the start of each row/column before continuing the numbering sequence. This is known as 'boustrophedon' numbering (from Greek, literally ‘as an ox turns in plowing’, from bous ‘ox’ + -strophos ‘turning).
