Face Orientations

The Face Orientation parameters you set on the Face Orientations tab of the Stope Design and Generation form will depend on the options you have selected on the Stope Design tab of the Optimisation Setup form.

When the Build Stopes by Combining -> Slices of tubes extruded from reference grid option is selected, set a Fixed inclination which is the angle between the base of the extruded tubes along the strike of the stopes and the stope face.

When the Build Stopes by Combining -> Angled slices of tubes extruded from reference grid option is selected, set the Variable angle ranges that will be used for the extrusions.

Fixed

Inclination

Specify the angle (0 < x < 180, degrees) between the base of the extruded tubes along the strike of the stopes and the stope face.

This determines the angle of the slicing plane along the strike of the stopes relative to the tubing grid. The inclination is generated by rotating the slices around the across-strike vector at the point of slicing towards the along-strike vector.

Variable

Strike & Dip

Specify the angle (Strike and Dip) ranges that will be used to cut the tube in many different ways to form stopes with varying start/end face slopes.

Preview

Use the Slider control below the Vizex Preview to view how the tube will be cut as the strike/dip changes between -/+ tolerance.
