Wall Controls
The Wall Controls step allows users to specify properties based on the outer edges of pit and dump solids. These could include wall edges and presplit edges which could be used to calculate drill and blast values in scheduling software downstream.
Note: For properties assigned to Dump solids, these will only be accessible using custom reporting fields via extensions, as all movements are based off the source block and all dump blocks start empty in the schedule.
Create new wall control fields in the database.
"Wall" is here by default.
Click the blue plus icon to create new wall controls techniques specific for your project, such as pre-splitting, scaling or meshing, if required.

Wall Controls like Meshing and Cable Bolting are used to reinforce the walls to stop them from collapsing while mining below (generally speaking, you don’t normally start mining/blasting the ground below your work area until the walls above are safe, but at the same time you cannot start doing the wall activities until mining of all of the material next to them is completed).
