Run Schedule
Once you have Processes and Equipment set up as part of a Scenario, you can run your source schedule for the first time. In a simple sense, the way the application runs your Source Schedule is as follows:
- Generates a Task list based on Processes and their associated Source Quantities.
- Creates an ordered list of Tasks for each piece of Equipment based on the Source Path.
- Generates Dependencies and applies them to each Task.
- Simulation of the Task list from the Start till the End Date of your Scenario (this is much more complex than it is written but for our purposes is unimportant).
At any particular moment in time, a running Schedule/Scenario is a list of completed and upcoming Tasks, Equipment Paths, Dependencies and Constraints.
The Snapshot Viewer is a diagnostic tool which will help you to determine what is happening at any one point in time and is useful for determining what Dependencies are in place, as well as any issues you may be having with Source Paths or Constraints.
To run your Schedule/Scenario with the Snapshot Viewer, click the drop-down next to the Run button and choose Run With Snapshot.
