Introducing a Switchback

To add a switchback to each ramp, so that you maintain an access point, follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure to either amend the original ramp dependency with the adjusted depth. The switchback will commence from the final depth of this ramp.

    Original ramp: Alpha//{B1..B6}- B6/D/@0 - {140..85#2}*

    Amended ramp: Alpha//{B1..B6}-B6/D/@0 - {130..105}*

    Create a new Offset Dependency using the template from above.

    As before, type out the switchback path for a single strip in your Source Path.

    e.g. Alpha/S1/{B6..B1}-B1/D/@0 - {105..85;85}

  1. When creating your switchback ramp make sure to swap the Block direction of your dumping.

    First ramp: Alpha//{B1..B6}-B6*

    Switchback: Alpha//{B6..B1}-B1*

    Important Make sure that you set your Predecessor Processes correctly.

    Go back to your equipment. You can now remove the entry for the ramp that you built earlier. The source path can now be as simple as "*". In the below example, the path is:

    Alpha//B1-B6/D*
