Tools

When Vein Intercepts are loaded into Vizex, the Vein Intercepts ribbon is enabled, providing tools that can be used to select, display and edit the intercept model.

Select

On the Vein Intercepts tab, in the Select group:

  • Click the Select tool to select objects in the display. Use the CTRL key to select multiple objects.

  • Click Polygon Selection to select objects by interactively digitising a new closed string to select the objects within it.

  • Click Paintbrush Selection to paint over an area and select objects within it.

  • Click Lasso Selection to draw a freehand shape to select objects inside it. Alternatively, to enter Lasso mode, hold down the SHIFT key as you click and drag the mouse to make a selection.

  • Click Select Edited to automatically select any and all intervals that have been edited.

     

Display

On the Vein Intercepts tab, in the Display group:

  • Click Show Hanging Wall to toggle the visibility of the hanging wall intervals in the model.

  • Click Show Footwall to toggle the visibility of the footwall intervals in the model.

  • Click Show Included to toggle the visibility of the included intervals in the model.

  • Click Show Ignored to toggle the visibility of the ignored intervals in the model.

  • Click Show Outside to toggle the visibility of the outside intervals in the model.

  • Click Show Missing to toggle the visibility of the missing intervals in the model.

  • Click Solid Trace to display the vein intercept model in Solid Trace mode.

  • Click 2D Slice to display the vein intercept model in 2D Slice mode.

  • Click Oriented Discs to display the vein intercept model in Oriented Discs mode.

  • Click Original Mode to display the vein intercept model with the original codes and orientations for the intercept intervals.

Edit

On the Vein Intercepts tab, in the Edit group:

  • Click Hanging Wall to set any selected intervals as hanging wall.

  • Click Footwall to set any selected intervals as footwall.

  • Click Include to set any selected intervals as included.

  • Click Ignore to set any selected intervals as ignored.

  • Click Flip Polarity to flip the polarity of the holes belonging to any selected intervals - swapping hanging wall with footwall and vice versa.

  • Click Restore to Original to undo any user editing changes to the selected interval/s; restoring the model to its original state.

  • In Oriented Discs mode, click Orientation Edit to edit the orientation of any selected interval/s.

  • In Oriented Discs mode, click Orientation Drag to edit the orientation of any selected interval/s by dragging out the edge of the orientation plane.

  • In Oriented Discs mode, click Orientation Three Point to edit the orientation of any selected interval/s by defining three points on the orientation plane.

  • In Oriented Discs mode, click Orientation Copy to make the orientation of selected intervals match the orientation of a specified interval.

Form

On the Vein Intercepts tab, in the Form group

  • Click Return to Modelling Form to open the configured form (Vein Network or Geology) for the displayed model.
