Chargers
Overview
If battery fleets are used, every project must have one or more defined chargers. Chargers are used to model extra travel & recharge time as part of the truck cycle and allow power consumption to be reported for each individual charger.
Chargers Setup Step
In ATS, trucks can be added using the plus icon on the toolbar or be imported directly from Haul Infinity.
Adding Chargers Manually
To add and remove chargers manually use the green plus and red minus buttons located on the top toolbar.
Adding Chargers from Haul Infinity
You can add all or missing chargers from Haul Infinity.
For this, use the Add Missing Items button located in the top toolbar.
It will find all Charger nodes in Haul Infinity that have a name that begins with "Chargers/' and populate the missing items to the Charger Name column.
Availability Types to Specify
Column Availability Types to Specify is used to convert calendar time to available charging time.
Types of availability include:
-
Planned Availability (PA),
-
Unplanned Availability (UPA),
-
Use of Availability (UA),
-
Operating Efficiency (OE) - Power/Engine On.
Select Charger Availability types to specify in the Calendar
The availability types flagged here will be added to the Calendar as rows, where the values can be entered.
Specify known availabilities to calculate electric trucks Direct Utilisation and Actual Hours / Units
Constrain by kWh
Constrain by kWh is used to limit chargers to their available capacity.
Note: If all chargers are set to constrain by kWh and the schedule requires more kWh than are available, chargers will be used over capacity to honor the schedule rather than constraining tonnages.
