Calendar Tables
When you have parameters in your scheduling that are time-dependent (and there are more than a couple) then it may make sense to include a Calendar Table. Calendar Tables are commonly used to store Equipment rates and utilisation numbers. Each Scenario can have only one Calendar Table.
Having a Calendar Table set to a Scenario provides the CurrentDate variable to Expressions as well as providing additional GetValue() Fields in the following sections of Source Scheduling:
-
Settings > Equipment Labels
-
Equipment > Availability, Utilisation and Equipment Count
-
Equipment > Processes > Hourly Rate
-
Capacity and Proximity Constraints
The only requirement of a Calendar Table is a Date/Time Type Field for the Start Date of each period. Calendar Leaves only require a Start Date (the End Date is determined by the next Start Date) and once the final Leaf is reached the properties of that particular Leaf go on till the end of the Schedule.
