Actions

On the File | File Editor tab, in the Actions group: the following options are available.

• Click Modify File Structure to change the structure of a file by adding and deleting fields, or by changing field properties such as Type and Units.

• Click Import to import data from external files. This simple import tool is best used when the source data has fields with widely varying widths, or when you want to import more than ten fields of data at once.

• Select Merge | Data File (after you have opened a new or existing file as the target file, in the editor).

• Select Merge | Text to merge data from a Text file into a Data file you have opened in the editor. Fields in the Text file are identified by their Start position and Length. You can determine these by viewing the file in the form.

• Click Export to export data in a Micromine Data file to an Excel workbook.

• Select Export | Text to export the current file to one of several delimited text file formats. The option to write field names to the file is provided, in which case they may be enclosed using a character you specify.
