Page Setup

Use the Page Setup tab of the Drillhole Log form to set the paper size, margins, and page orientation of the log. The vertical scale of the log is also set here.

Paper Size options are associated with the (system) default printer.  The units chosen here will be used by all position, size and offset related prompts on this, and other, tabs.

Default values for undefined parameters are shown inside square brackets []. These can be overwritten, but if they are blanked out the default value returns.

Paper

Paper Size

A list of metric and imperial paper sizes are available for selection.

When you select a default paper size, the paper size will be determined by your printer driver and may not necessarily be a standard paper size. To ensure that a standard paper size is applied, click the Forms button to select a standard (ISO, ANSI, ARCH) papers size form set.

Units

Select the MILLIMETRES or INCHES unit of measurement. All measurements that you enter in subsequent fields in the form must be in the units selected here.

Paper Width and Height

If you have selected the Custom Size option, enter the width and height of the paper in the units you have selected.

Adjust page height to fit complete hole

Select this option to adjust the height of the page to fit each hole in its entirety.

Margins

The margins and the orientation define the basic page layout.

Top, Bottom, Left, Right

Enter the size of the margins at the top, bottom, left, and right of the paper. This defines the plot area on the paper. All plot frames will be positioned within this plot area.

Orientation

Select the (Portrait or Landscape) orientation of the page.

A “Zoom to Full Page” is invoked by default whenever you change the paper size or the page orientation.

Vertical Scale

This a mandatory input. The Vertical Scale effectively determines the depth range per page. Specify the units that will be used to measure depth.

When a scalebar is added as a column, the scale and units you have set here are applied. Label intervals and subdivisions are specified on the Depth Scale tab of the Drillhole Log form.

Click the Forms button to select and open a saved form set, or if a form set has been loaded, save the current form set.

Click the Apply button to preview your changes. This allows you to change the column order or column width, for example, while keeping the form open.
