Add Strings

Use the tools on the Mining | Pit Design tab, in the Add Strings group to add Toe, Crest and Contour strings and Ramps, and access tools to manipulate the design strings you have added.

	Description
	A Toe string is the bottom string of a pit or stockpile. A Toe is the lower edge of the bench face.
	A Crest string is generated as the pit or stockpile expanded. A crest (with the exception of the final crest) has a corresponding Toe string at the same Z or elevation. The Crest is the upper edge of the bench face.
	A Contour string between successive Toes and Crests can be used to denote benches. Contours are defined in between the RL of the Toe and Crest of the bench and are usually spaced with a distance that is a subdivision of the bench height.
	A Ramp string is generated when you add a Road. A Start point is defined on a Crest or Toe string.
