Layer Files

When exporting and importing layers, a Layer File (*.layer) Export/Import file format can be selected as an alternative to XML. This format is used when layers are uploaded to/downloaded from Nexus.

To import layers that were previously exported or downloaded from Nexus in Micromine Advance .layer file format:

  1. In the Design Data pane, right-click on the Layers node or the name of a layer and selectImport | Layer Files.

    2. If you right-click on the Layers node, layers are imported under the Layers node. If you right-click on a folder, layers are imported into that folder.

    You can also right-click on a layer and select Import | From Layer File to import into that layer.

  1. Select the .layer file that contains the spatial data you want to import.
