EH7: Meantime Between Failures
EH7: Meantime Between Failures
Description: |
---|
The total down hours of the selected machinery for the defined period is reported. A count of the number of failures, the mean time between failures and the mean time for repair during the period are included. |
This report helps to identify frequently occurring and high-impact failures (high count or high MTTR), which may benefit from further investigation. |
Associated panels: | |

EH3: Equipment Hours by Period | A summary of the time selected equipment spent in selected states for a defined period. |
EH8: Mean Time Between Failures Graph | The results are presented as histograms of the Number of Maintenance Events and Time to Repair. It is an analysis of the frequency selected equipment is in maintenance, and of the time taken to repair. |
Terms used: | |
MTBF Mean Time Between Failure |
A record of the downtime of selected equipment during a defined period. |
MTTR Mean Time To Repair |
Time actually taken to make the repair. A piece of equipment may be in a downtime status, but not all of that time is spent on the repair. |
