Permissions
Permissions allow you to control who has access to the files and folders in your Nexus workspaces and projects. Owner, Write and Read privileges can be set for individual users or user groups.
No Permissions
If you are a user and you do not have any permissions for a workspace, the workspace is "locked"- as indicated by a padlock icon:
Without permissions you will be unable to open the workspace.
If you have no permissions or you have restricted permissions, you can request permissions or a change in permissions for yourself (and other users) by clicking the ellipsis button at the end of the workspace row. Select Request permissions to open the Request Permissions dialog:
Workspace and Projects
At the Workspace level, an administrator may:

Assign Object Types, Attributes and Tasks as part of Workspace Settings
At the Project level, an administrator or the owner of the project may:

Users
By default a user is not logged out when his or her permissions are changed by an administrator. As an option, when the permissions of a user are changed, the user can be logged out automatically. He or she will then need to sign-in again.
Files
To check or modify permissions for a file, from the Library file browser, Administrators can use the right-click context menu and select permissions:
