Symbol Display Mode

By default, the Display Mode is set to normal and the actual value in the scaling field is used to determine the radius of the symbol to be drawn at the point.

Natural Log Transformation

When the Display Mode is set to Natural Log:

• If you select Ranges as the scaling method, the log of the value in the scaling field is used to determine the radius of the symbol.
• If you select Factor as the scaling method, the base value is subtracted from the value in the scaling field before the log is calculated.

In either case, if the value is less than or equal to zero, the point is ignored.
