Command Search
A Command Search option for locating commands by name is available above the ribbon when the Show Search box option is selected on the User Interface tab of the Options | System | System Options form.
The search is updated as you type into the Search box. A list of results shows the menu path of each command that matches the search string:
To extend the list of results, click the Show more link. You can also link to search the online help for information about the functionality you are interested in.
This Search input box is also available at the top of right-click context menus to help find tools.
This option is accessed in the User Interface System Options and is enabled by default for all licences.
Recent
When the Search box is empty and you click on the box, a list of recent functions is shown:
Tip: The default keyboard shortcut (F9) or the Vizex hotkey (ENTER) can be used to repeat the most recently run menu command. See: Repeat Last Command
Favourites
Click on the Star icon to the right of each function to add it to a list of favourites. Favourites are saved in a system form set, per user, and apply across all projects.
You can also add and manage your favourites on the Home tab, in the Favourites group.
Once they have been added, favourites are accessible:
- on a Favourites tab when you click in the Command Search box.
- on the Home tab, in the Favourites group.
- from the right-click menu in Vizex.
- from the Favourites (Layer Types) pane in Vizex:
