Insert Points Modes
The Insert by planar intersections and Insert at elevations Insert modes have been added to the Insert Points tool on the Design tab, in the Edit Mode group.
Selecting the Insert by planar intersections option will enable the Plane Orientation options:
The Plane Orientation options can be used to define an Orthogonal or Transform plane to define the orientation of the plane on which points will be inserted. Additionally, a Reference Point can be set using the X, Y and Z fields or by clicking the Pick Point in Vizex button to select the point coordinates.
Selecting the Insert at elevations option will streamline the insert points process to only require the Elevations to be configured for the tool - see Insert Points.
Donut Polygon Tools
The Donut Polygon tool on the Design tab, in the Create group has been enhanced to work with the Expand, Extend and Replace tools.
-
The Expand String tool will expand the current donut polygon string in an inwards or outwards direction based upon a specified expansion distance.
-
The Extend String tool appends points to one end of a donut polygon string. Points are appended to the last point on the string.
-
The Replace String tool can be used to replace a portion of a string by digitising its replacement segments. This can be done with either a Curve or a Spline.
For information on creating Donut Polygons, see Donut (Multi-part) Polygons.
