Empty Frame

Empty frames contain no data and can be used to group other frames or place an outline around other frames.

Title frames converted from older version plot files, for example, are grouped within an empty frame.

To add a new Empty frame:

1. Double-click on the Empty frame type in the Plot Forms pane.

2. Set the fill, border, and margin properties of the frame in the Frame tab.

3. Finally, click OK to add the Empty frame to the plot layout.

Another way to add a new frame to the layout is to use the New Frame tool on the Plot Editor toolbar. Click and drag the mouse in the layout window to define the size and position of the frame. When you release the mouse button, you will be prompted to select the frame type.
